Thread: png error

    Default png error

Hi folks have suddenly received an error message when I try to open one of my files I recently worked on. "unknown png error" then the file refuses to open. Any ideas what has gone wrong as the poster does not have any png's in it.

Could be why there's a PNG error?

If you want to attach your file here I will attempt to open it in X1, which general can strip faults and open files better than newer versions.
Alternately you might try using expandXar to try and fix the file.

Try opening one of your Backup copies and see if that opens up OK. Then try to work out what was different from the "unopenable" version of the file.

Hi guys, thanks for the responses and an apology due to you both. It appears that when I saved the file to a stick to use it on an earlier version of Xara(V4) on another computer the stick was almost full and the whole file was not copied across from my desktop. When comparing the file sizes there was a big difference.(must have missed the disk full warning somehow) so no wonder the earlier version of windows was throwing up error messages.

Silly me. Must go and lie down in a darkened room for a while(moral of course is always check that the plug is in before buying a new TV)

    Thanks for the response again
