    Default YouTube experiment

OK, here we go again. I've been attempting to embed a YouTube video in Designer Pro on the old site. I have the placeholder already from when I was using photobucket but when I paste the embed code (thus replacing the photobucket code) from YouTube into the placeholder dialogue and click "Apply" it causes Designer Pro to crash.

Here's the code. I noticed the <iframe> tag right away. Is that the issue?

    <iframe width="640" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/xtJ5lQa-N8A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    Thanks
    J

YouTube's latest embed code is the <iframe> tag.
If you are not yet using version 9 of DPX, try adding back the http:

    eg:
    <iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/xtJ5lQa-N8A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

OK thanks! I'll try that as soon as I can use my
Computer again. It really sucks having only one!

Preview won't work in DPX v8 (the OPs version), Gary without the http:// as v8 doesn't have the built-in server. (recall the same issues with Facebook badges as well?)
It will often just crash v8 (Not Responding) when previewing or just trying to add the placeholder bitmap. (It will be fine once published though

But add the http:// and it will preview just fine in version 8.

This same problem had been bedeviling me today ... quick search brought me quickly to this solution. Added the "http:" into the I-frame code, and it worked like a charm. TalkGraphics saves the day again!

Thanks for the HTTP. Helped me too!
