    Rings of dots (appear to) slowly rotate clockwise or anti-clockwise depending on the angle of the dot's shading.

    That's pretty good, Larry. But, it's animation.

    Whereas, the one I posted is just a drawing. And the illusion is that it appears to move.
    Plus I also enjoy seeing if I can draw it and see if the illusion still works.

    Grace: The illusion works on the fact that you don't keep your eyes, still.
    If you keep your eyes perfectly still, then nothing will appear to move.
    But, as we generally move our eyes slightly (looking here then over there a bit, and so on) then things appear to move.
