    Frances, no. Never tried with XDP. It screwed up other applications I use more timewise. No point.

    Phil, I realize that opening up all or most functions to be scriptable would be time intensive. It would free y'all up for other work though. It could be a great addition in the long run. Adding a step and repeat like one of your competitors would also be time consuming. Leaving that function to scropting , combined with the wonderful cloning we do have would be pretty powerful. Just one example of how it could be used.

    It seems to me we are talking about a basic keystroke-macro, the "computer" does not know who or what input the keystrokes. The macro was (and is) a key feature of the WordPerfect program and one of the reasons that it, at one time, had an 80% market penetration. A repeat feature, as Gary references, is not much more than a keystroke logging program on automatic. Not a programmer here but I've done this with other programs. Just saying.
