XDP9 64 bit freezes on installing google font

Just tried using the new Google Font Finder option in DXP9. I select a font that is not already installed and Xara tells me it will now run the 'FontInstall' program, I click the 'Install' button and Windows 7 UAC prompts me to confirm running FontInstall.exe, I click 'yes' and then.... nothing. Xara locks with cursor mouse showing busy when held over Xara. Clicking any part of the program give me a windows 'Xara Designer Pro X is not responding' message. Any one else seen this issue?

Mine crashes a bit differently, but yeah, it doesn't work well. I say 'well' because I was able to make it work by doing the Ctrl/Alt/Delete salute, then clicking on the fontfinder thing in the Task Manager. That made Xara work again and the font was installed.

Any chance you have a pop-up behind Xara awaiting an OK response?

Same problem here, font is installed when XDP9 reboots though. The Font Installer box says "Not Responding" before getting the "white" overlay

Nope, tried av and firewall and everything I could think of :-( Reported it to Xara - one other person up to now has reported it but they can't replicate the problem

I have Windows 8 - so different from Grant - and I've tried with both 64bit and 32bit

I've had these issues too. Web designer 9 premium, 32bit and 64bit, Designer Pro 32bit and 64bit and older versions I get this error trying to install fonts via the fonts gallery.

I have only added a single Google font. Worked fine. Windows 8 64-bit, XDP 64-bit.
