its taken a while to be noticed because so few people use it

edit: i really have tried to use it but a simple operation was imporssible with it so, as i did 10 yrs ago, i gave up with it

THen, if you're brave, you can use this registry fix:-

Navigate to:-

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Spftware\Xara\XtremePro\9.2\Opti ons\FlyoutBars

Then change the value of ‘ShowPenToolOnFlyout’ from ‘0’ to ‘1’

Your Pen Tool will then stay wherever you put it.

Took your advice. Got a flashlight and extra rope, went into the RegEdit, made the changes and all works well now. Thanks for the tip. Dan

Yeah! It's a scary place, isn't it?
But, I was determined to find it.

Somehow it is unbelievable that there is such specific registry value - ‘ShowPenToolOnFlyout’

Really would be easier to delete the whole tool if the makers so much do not like it
