or if you want to stay with the blue look. Here is my meager offering. I can't find my xar file but the icon is zipped. In case you are wondering it is an X and a stylized 9

Rik - What is your thinking?

The icon for Photo & Graphic Designer 9 is basically the same blue. Currently Designer Pro 9 is gold which visually says high end. And as per sledger's suggestion the 64-bit version has a small 64. Your icon has a PRO, but both the 32 and 64-bit versions are PRO.

You have not really thought this through.

Something I fancied doing. No-one has to use it.

    I don't have 64 bit OS.
So, I am likely to use the one with the 'Pro' on it, or the other one.

Just something that helps me distinguish between 'Xara Designer Pro X' and 'Xara Designer Pro X9'.

I don't mean to be a wet blanket Rik, but you have to take the icon in the context of its relationship to the other products in what is now being marketed as a suite.

I understand everything you say, Gary.

I don't have the other products installed.
I just have Designer Pro X and Designer Pro X9.
And Xara have made exactly the same icon for both.

So, as my splashscreen (the one in Post #39) is nice and blue, therefore I've made a desktop icon that's nice and blue.
And all I'm doing is offering it to other members.

I'm not trying to fit it into any suite.

well in the context of where he is
    i ubderstand
its a bit annnoying to have two designer pro icons identical on your desktop
so i'm all for it there

but once you take the step of offering them to the community
well, that's where his context leaves him in a duck shoot
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.

Rik - The release version of DPX9 has two different icons. The one in my screen shot is the 64-bit version.

Attached are the two icons on the Metro screen.
