Default 3 color blended page..I'm lost

I'm trying to do a blended 3 color page, green/gold/blue, starting top down. When I slect 3 color from the menu I don't seem to be able to conjure up a horizontal setup from the top down. I tried 3 separate pages melded into one. Looks OK but hard to work with and manipulate. The only thing I didn't think of until now was to convert to bitmap. I always seem to get a line across the page depending on how I squeeze the transparency. Any thoughts appreciated.

I think you want a Linear gradient fill, correct?

The 3 Color fill is more of a triangular affair.

Do this, Create a Linear fill from the top to the bottom of the page (or from the bottom to the top, mox nix). Double click on the fill path arrow to add an additional colors.

Hi Giddy up Use a linear fill and double click along the fill handle to add an extra colour stop. you can use the profile sliders (click the arrow on the info bar) to adjust how the colours blend. you can also click and drag the middle stop along the fill handle to adjust it's position.

    Edit: Beaten to it

Wow! Never knew this. I was always stacking two-color gradients. Thanks.

I know that the OP is looking to do a blend, but as an added piece of information, you can add even more points on your linear fill to get multiple regions of flat fill. You just need to push the nodes between one color and the next closer together. I left them farther apart in this example so that it would be easier to see how it was done.

You might want to try this with transparencies as well.

You guys are the greatest; solved my issue, having overlaid 3 pages with a modicum of success before, but could not get rid of a line. Anywho, I learned a bunch here. Thanks to everyone for the input.
