Default Uninstalling ProX8 for ProX9 Problems?

I just updated to ProX9 from 8 and was wondering if I can simply uninstall 8 with no worries?

Should I back anything up? I've backed up my website to a flash. Seems straightforward and I'll make a system restore point to undo any damage.

    Thanks for any help/suggestions/warnings.

you don't even need to uninstall 8
the two should run fine alongside one another

Yeah, keep your previous version for a while. If you find that you have no need to use it any more, then delete it.

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep both on the drive for a bit.

What do you mean? Open DPX and then open DPX9. What happens?

What happens if you open DPX9 first and then open DPX?

Also, how are you opening the programs?

looks like they are both stuck on loading
to remedy it i just reduce the app to the taskbar and then maximise
minimising to a window and then maximising doesn't fix the toolbar buttons display

they did not do this until i reorganised my toolbars
i have now tested this running them on their own and i see it is nothing to do with running the two apps
they both do it independently or run simultaneously
