Default panorama image coparison Xara vs ICE

ice (Microsoft Research Image Composite Editor (ICE)) was always my favourite panorama stitcher with many options and good results
today i decided to pop out and take a bunch of photos with a canon eos 30d
    the results surprised me
i attach a direct comparison between the xara built-in panorama stitcher and ms ice
i tried to include panorama studio (xara's external panorama app) in the comparison but it wouldn't load, saying *sigh* it needed a valid xara installation to run *facepalm*
i initially got poor results from xara's panorama stitcher when i included TOO MANY images but when i removed a few photos the results are without question in xara's favour with the images being better colour matched and the overall colour, contrast and brightness being higher quality
when cropping the final image xara seems to crop more from top and bottom but it's a small price to pay for the increased final output quality
my panorama stitcher of choice was always ice, it's now xara

If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.

Interesting Frank. Let's hear it for Xara, Yeah Xara!

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
