    Maybe Xara could implement that?
Flattening generally (always) creates a bitmap. This can cause non-postscript RIPs (and some non-PS Level 3 RIPs) to show a difference surrounding overlapping transparent objects and vector background objects. This affects Adobe and non-Adobe applications alike.

What would aid Xara in leaving transparency live would be to support PDFX-4.

I think Exporting the document as a PDF file which will retain the vector shapes with their transparency will surely be a good thing to try. Anyhow thanks for nice stuff.
