How to print and export transparency

I've done some research and discovered that AI calls it flattening

Maybe Xara could implement that?

Flattening generally (always) creates a bitmap. This can cause non-postscript RIPs (and some non-PS Level 3 RIPs) to show a difference surrounding overlapping transparent objects and vector background objects. This affects Adobe and non-Adobe applications alike.

What would aid Xara in leaving transparency live would be to support PDFX-4.
