How to make a cylinder (can) have a reflection as if it was sitting on glass

I am trying to make a can, with a rounded or crescent bottom, appear to be sitting on glass. what it requires is to deform the flipped and mirrored item, but the FX deforming tools do not work well, or enough. Are there any work arounds or other ideas. Thanks
