Very nice work. You have Xara firmly under control.
Question; do rings always orbit a planet at a symmetrical distance?

Brilliant. The first one reminds me of the xbox game 'halo'. I hope that not Earth crashing into Jupiter in the last one, sure looks like it.

    Thanks iagman and jvila.
@ iagman I don't know, good question. I asked a question "are gas giants the only planets that can have rings?" The answer was "I don't know" Further research on the web I ran across a post that said no any planet could have rings. So it seems possible that a terrestrial type planet could have rings although they might not be as magnificent as the rings of Saturn, so if I were to depict that I would probably do a single thin ring. Maybe something like this.

Sorry I have never seen nor played "halo". Rest easy because it's not earth. I sort of forgot what I titled it but it was something like "The Defender or Protector". The Gas Giants sort of protect the smaller inner planets or so I heard. The symbolism is there with the big brother protecting little brother which is hiding behind big brother.

Ron, thank you very much. As for me I like the one just to it's right best. As for the first one I had a bug up my...to do something like that for awhile. What I would really like to do is depict a planet that is so far away yet so big that it dominates the sky. Not quite sure how to show that though.

Any chance of going out there on Virgin Galaxy. I have had a look on TrainLine.com but still can’t find any tickets.
Nice one Larry, they look great...
