    Default Jazzing up this logo

    Hi

    Im not a graphic designer, but I use Xara to create basic designs.

    Can anyone suggest some ideas to make this business logo more interesting, please?

    Hello Zakiyya, I'll be glad to give you some pointers First it's too busy you need to simplify it a little and the curved text is hard to read. Here is an example of what you could do. I made the emphasis of the Logo the company intials and put the hard hat on the S. The font I used is called Stymie Pro, but you could use any slab serif font for this. To make it look like the Hard hat is actually on the S I used what I like to call the sandwich method, I placed one copy behind the letters and cloned it (ctrl+k) which placed a copy directly on top and simply used the eraser tool in DPX to erase out the portions that needed to appear behind the letters.

    I would make a change from Wella's to Wella which appears more professional; and keep the logos simple.
