Does anyone know of a good method of importing VISIO diagrams into XARA X ?

Cut and paste is not good at all.

VISIO can 'Save As' many formats, but so far I have yet to discover one that XARA X is happy with.

Colin - I'm not a Visio user. Will it export any bitmapped formats like tiff, bmp, jpg, gif, png? If it won't you might want to try playing with screen captures.

I've had good luck exporting selections in Visio to WMF, then importing to Xara X for isslustration enhancement. Done a ton of this for technical manuals (block diagrams, flow charts, etc.).

The attached sample was exported from Visio 2000 Standard Edition. Visio will export to lots of bitmap formats including jpeg, gif, ping, tiff; vector formats such as WMF, EMF, dxf; and eps. The current version of Visio is 2002 and may have capabilities I am not aware of.

Thanks Al for your suggestion - I'll give it a go. Your use for flowcharts is exactly the same as the need that I have.
I had tried GIF and TIFF and JPG etc from VISIO, but somehow the text inside each box became displaced, and the lines (expecially connected lines) ended up taking different routes.
Once again thanks, and what a great forum this is for all XaraX fans
