can't stop demo site from opening

I'm testing the new wdp9 and every time I start the program it opens the demo site. I unchecked the backup options (looks like that would be it) - but it still opens. any ideas? thanks

Do you mean the what's new page/site?

Just close it before you close WD.

Hmm? That should not be happening.

By default documents left open will be saved and will open if not closed prior to saving. But this does not sound like what is happening.

Odd, closing the document before closing down WD9 should fix that.
Go to Options and uncheck the restore option.

that's been unchecked (both options) -and I also deleted the entry from the registry - when I restarted the program - it still opened that same document and put the entry back into the registry - weird

delete the demo site from your HDD ? - or more safely rename/zip it in case you need to revert...

duh - why didn't I think of that - I renamed the file and it opens with a blank document - thanks for all the recommendations.

Are you using the trial or the unlocked version of the program?

You shouldn't need to be renaming files to get around this.
