Default Open Recent files (not backups)

How do I delete the Open Recent (not backups) files?

You can't clear the list because it's written to the Windows registry.

That's not very good. It's like not being able to clear the Trash can.

Actually I am mistaken, there is a way to clear the list to '1' (but not zero)

Open Utilities>>Options the select the General tab.
In the Recent Files list, enter 1 and press apply.

Kenneth - What product are you using? You do not list any Xara products in your Profile which makes it harder for us to address your question. The attached illustrates what sledger suggests if you are using Designer or Photo and Graphics Designer. It is slightly different in Web Designer.

And for my own curiosity, why do you want to do this?

    I'm a little curious too
(I didn't include a screenshot because the directions are the same across all Designer products that I have installed.)

I tried this earlier, but if you close and restart the program and reset it to 10 the last 10 files are visible again. I assume the OP wanted to do it for some security reasons rather like clearing your browsers history. I don't know if you kept it at one it would eventually clear the registry?

Sorry I did not include my products in profile. I am using Web Designer MX Premium V8 and Web Designer 9 Premium. The reason I want to clear the list is there are too many there and since I let the program name them instead of naming them myself it gets kinda confusing..

I think you have answered your own question then. Name and save your documents. And do this frequently. Then you will know what is which and vice versa.

But as has been pointed out, you can limit the number of recent files that appear.
