Thread: 2014 Maco GTR

  1. #1

    Default 2014 Maco GTR

First off, I need a consensus on whether to use Duke or Blackwater as the brand name for my concept cars. I'd appreciate feed back from all that would like to express and opinion on this so I can move ahead. Personally, I don't like Duke because it is one syllable and that just doesn't carry for me. But I'd like general opinion on this.

Here's the new concept car I'm working on, the Maco GTR.

How about Duke of Blackwater? Or Blackwater-Duke?

Blackwater has my vote, Ron. One of these days I want to see you do an engine bay rendering for one of your cars.

I gave this as much thought as I am capable and decided that for me at least Blackwater has my vote.

I looked at it as "Introducing the Blackwater Motor Company Maco GTR"'
and "Introducing the Duke Motor Company Maco GTR"

Probably shallow thinking but that's kind of how I looked at it.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

Ford is one syllable - so is Dodge or Jeep. Why not Duke?
You're probably just quite familiar with your name that it sounds lame...

    Duke gets my vote.

    Short, simple and GREAT.
    Go for DUKE

Well, thanks for a few serious responses. I'm posting the name and logo on which I've decided. (for now, feels strange using my own name)
Also, here's the work so far on the car. I think the side view is finished, but the back end is taking a lot of time and a number of redraws as it has to remain commensurate with the side view.
Haven't even thought of the front end yet...

'DMC' was the name of DeLorean Motor Company.
Just thought I would let you know.
You may want to think of an alternative.

    How about just 'DC' ?!
    Duke Carriages, or Duke Cars.
