try to downoad French dictionaries from http://www.dicollecte.org/download.php?prj=fr. Choose the right *.aff and *.dic file (i.e. fr-classique.aff and fr-classique.dic) and place them in the dict folder under the Xara Designer programs folder (default: "C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Designer Pro X") and rename them fr_FR.aff and fr_FR.dic. When you start Xara designer Pro your new language should be listed as possible spell check.

In fact, for it's spell checking Xara depends on the freeware HunSpell libraries. You can find all different languages at http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Dictionaries.

More info and a comprehensive way to install dictionaries (which isn't as easy as I thought) can be found at: http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthre...o-Web-Designer
