    Penny, I really like the vase. In particular, I like the distortion when looking through the vase to the wall. One thing I learned in another thread was that the color of the shadow should somehow be a variant of the surface where it is located. Since someone told me that, I have paid closer attention to shadows as I walk around. If you look at a shadow on your lawn, as an example, notice that the shadow is a darker color of the grass as compared to where the light is shining (not just a gray color). I have used that in some approach a couple of times since then and was surprised at how that help bring the picture alivI think the shape of you shadow is fine but might suggest using a little feathering and perhaps a slight distortion since it is at an angle it is not going to look exactly like the vase itself.

    Bottom line is though, it is a beautiful vase and I would like to be able to create one like it.

    @Penney - I would love to look at your .xar file to learn how to draw something like that vase. There must be a ton of object that make it up.
