Default Formoid - New drag and drop form creation

I got an e-mail from Visual Slideshow announcing Formoid http://formoid.com/ a drag and drop web form creator.

I have not tested it yet but it looks interesting.

Visual Slideshow is the application I use to create non-flash slideshows. So I figure the form tool is probably just as good.

OK. This is a beta product and it is not ready for prime time. There are a lot of problems right from the first.

At least when Xara issues a beta it mostly works.

Good idea and it will probably be a good option once they make it work.

When you publish the form, publish it to a folder. There is a folder that will be published to the folder you create. You need to copy the code from the HTML file created and paste it into a placeholder. The text in the HTML (Body) section references the folder that is created by Formoid.

Looks simple to use, though very limited in terms of the look, but might check it out again once it is in a full release rather than the beta.

I got the same email. I DLed it, installed, and checked it out. You have to be savvy in CSS as the actual builder is VERY limited in its scope (can't even change text color in the actual app). Also, it is just the form CSS wireframe. Don't get me wrong, it makes making the frame for the form a breeze, but what good does it do if there is no way to actually implement the form? NO PHP or anything! So, essentially, its like having a pretty car and no engine...long story short...it don't go nowhere. Hoping that there will be an update soon that generates the back-end as well

    Welcome to TalkGraphics sstjohn

When you publish the form, it creates a folder plus an html document. The folder contains graphics, js and css scripts. You can cut and paste the form portion into the body of your HTML web page and if the generated folder is in the same root directory it will render fine.

But at present there is a lot of missing features some of which you point out.
