Multiple lines background

Hello.
I am just a beginner, so I hope someone can help me.
How do I make a Background Image with multiple lines like something similar to the example?
I want to make a background for a car repair firm where I can place cars on top.

Have a play with lines and the blend tool.

Hi, the steps around in details:
- drawing a line in Shape tool (keeping the CTRL it will be sure straight), giving to it a color
- clone line and moving down, giving a second color
- selecting both lines and in Blend tool creating a ten steps blend
- in Mould tool clicking on default envelope, after in Shape tool pulling down the upside line, also good to click on the corner then the red small handlers appears and can be formed by them easier

Since I created those blended lines I just happen to remember how I did it.

It was a blend of three lines. No Mould Tool.

I don't know if this will help or not, but, it's the best I could do.
See the .xar to see how I did it. There may be other ways, this is just the way I did it.

Wouldn't worry about it not being an exact replica, the OP just wanted to know how to create something similar to the example

That is indeed a nice job Larry.

Here is another method for creating something similar. This method uses a technique for blending lines that Steve (Sledger) first came up with a few years back. when clipped to a rectangle with a transparency applied you can make some really nice banners this way.

Just one more comment Angelize that blend to curve step is very good, I mean on my way this why thought to the Mould tool to form the lines but Ctrl clicking that line and adjusting is really faster

Yes the blend to curve step is part of the original method. I just added the linear transparency and the clipview. Using the curved line to control the curve of the blend gives you much more control than a mold would. You can add nodes to the line, and adjust the curves as you please.
