    Default Opinions wanted

I hope this is the right forum to ask this.
I've decided to attempt my own multi-media video I've got (if it doesn't work out I can't say I haven't tried it can I?) by combining music, photography (cropped photos and photgraphs as backdrops), the graphics I can do and animation but should I have one continous music track O Laurie Anderson's O Superman springs to mind) or seperate tunes for each animated sequence and add commentaries. The basic 'plot' involves a pheonix (I had to use clip art for it) flying through all these sequences and backgrounds.

Personally I like ‘O’ Superman but seeing the clip first would be better then maybe you could put it to the vote (that would be a gas) see what other members think.

Don't know about all of your ideas for a multi-media vid but Xara programmes can do most of what you want graphically and instead of doing a vid. do a presentation it would work. Can I ask do you think that you should rely on a vector drawing programme to make a video. This really is a job for something like After Effects where you have time lines and a specialised way to interface graphics, animation and a sound track.
    Design is thinking made visual.

The spectrum came out a year later and I've had to break the main project down into different sequences (due to problems with the conversion process) and O Superman could be feasible due to the psychedellic nature, the video (so far isn't long enough but I've put other music on.

PS DON'T put O Superman on in a pub!

Another program, perhaps simpler than after effects would be MotionArtist which is geared up for sequential art interaction and is capable of producing animations or HTML5 output for youtube or whatever, that might suit what you are doing

the free beta has finished 15[jan] but you can download a trial if you don't mind the render being stamped with 'trial' whilst you check it out - full release is due sometime this month [feb13] should be around £40 [$60 or so]

from the point of view of presenting [animating] a comic book page/pages, panel by panel, together with transitions and the ability to move your objects [eg you phoenix] across panels, it just might suit - and you can import audio tracks

I got the pheonixes from the eagles in clip art. Theres the one in flight and the other doing the small text based commentaries about how the effects were achieved, the backgrounds and what's supposed to be going on
