paste does not work

Hi all, I cannot paste text. Manual typing works fine but paste is non functional either as ctr V or "paste."
For what its worth ctr V works here just fine.

Is this happening with just one document or all documents? Does this happen if you close WD and then restart it? Does it still happen when you create a new document? Can you copy any object and paste it? Can you copy text you create manually and paste it?

It is my experience that from time to time, some combination of things can cause a document to become unstable or corrupt in which case weird things happen, such as the inability to paste text.
