    Default Margritte Animation

    Hello,

I'm new at this forum but I will jump right in. Since a few years I'm very interested in Stop Motion. I love it when something comes alive
During day time I have a job as a freelancer, nothing to do with graphics or animation, so my time for making Stop Motion animation is limited. That's why I make
1 or 2 films every year. Normally one small and one more ambitious.
To start the year proper I finished last weekend a small animation based on a painting by Margritte. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Treachery_of_Images
I made it after I had seen a number of his surreal paintings during my visit at a museum. I got this crazy idea in my head and wanted to see if it would turn out nice. You decide

I like it. Personally I think of that as Claymation rather than Stop Motion. Never the less it is cool. Good job.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

Alright, Yason. What're you doing on here (this is Motsy from Digital Spy GD forums under a different name)?
While you're here, get a load of the gallery.

for some reason that reminds me of Ambroise [Brian] in Le Manège enchanté [The Magic Roundabout]

Still 'the description is never the thing described', hey? - nicely done

[only one 'r' in Magritte BTW]

Seriously though, some of the language on there wouldn't be tolerated on here.
They're not too keen on my efforts an artist/animator over there.

sorry about going off topic, just trying to add a bit of humour. I saw Yason's animation the other night and suggested he get himself over here and with any luck we might convert him to join our cuase as a creative.
The more Xarians the better, eh?
(after a few goes on XPGD7 my computeriised artwork increased and and thanks to to other Xarians anx external sources, I'm ading music to my animations once I get everything sorted). Come on, Yason, get yourself some Xara graphics software and welcome to the party, pal!
I couldn't do anything like what Yason did but it were good.
