I know we've covered this before but I have a question. If you make your own designs to use in 3D maker 7, do you have to make them using Xara Design? I've tried making them with Paint Shop Pro but got nowhere.
Thanks,
pslane

PSP is a raster (bitmaps) application. You can only use rasters as textures. If you want a new design to make 3D, it should be a vector.
So yes, draw it in Xara Designer Pro then you can just copy it to the clipboard then open a new work area in 3D by pressing Ctrl+N and paste in the design using Ctrl+V
Okay, can I copy and paste it to my Designs folder, too, so I can grab it when I want it? Will that work? Also, is there any other software that can be used to make a design for Xara 3D? I also have Photoshop Elements and make designs with it too. Can they be converted for Xara 3D designs?
Thank you,
pslan
You can save your design as a .xar then open the .xar with Xara 3D Maker.
Photoshop Elements is a raster (bitmap) program.
Okay I guess I'll have to stick to making graphics for the design folder in Xara Design Pro X. Thanks!
