new pc, transfer/export my profiles?

just got my new laptop, with windows 8, its taken forever to set it up :{

I need help with one thing, i have downloaded and activated my xara programs but can i export from my old laptop the publishing profiles or do i have to recreate them?????

I used PCMover Ultimate to transfer my files, folders and settings from my old computer to the new computer.

I did have to reinstall my Xara programs, but all the files and settings transferred just fine. It is not free, but the time it saved me made the price very affordable.

Unfortunately i decided to do it myself, wish i had not as i have had the new laptop for 3 days and only now am i just about there. the last thing is to bring across my profiles. on the plus the laptop is good and windows 8 aint as bad as i thought, still a pain in the .... but workable.

Really hoping there is a way to copy over my profiles to save some time and get down to some real work

Open regedit

Find
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xara\WebDesignerPremium \8.1\Options\FTPprofiles

Right-click FTPprofiles and select 'Export' - give it a name, eg; myprofiles and save to the dekstop.

Copy the saved myprofiles.reg file to your new machine, double click it and when asked choose 'Yes' to merge with registry.

This should add your profiles to your current installation of WDMX 8 Premium

Thats brilliant Sledger, everything has appeared, i have run into one problem though, when exporting a site i get the following error?????
"unable to find the filter to import that file with"...................any ideas?

I ran the program as Administrator and found the problem resolved. see this link here for solution, Thanks All.
