    Default Can't anchor image

I know this is basic, but I've read the Help and checked YouTube. I have an image. I have some text. How do I anchor the image to the text? I'm sure it's very simple, and something basic I'm missing.

    Thx

There are several solutions. Once you position the text over the image as you want it, select both the text and the image. Then you can...

    - press Ctrl+G (Arrange menu | Group); or

    - select both the text and the image and press Shift+Ctrl+C to create a bitmap copy, which you can position as you like; or

    - export as a png or jpeg bitmap, then import the bitmap and position as desired.

Do any of those options meet your needs? Or are you trying to do something else?

    Hi Narlee,

Ensure your text is below your image. Click the image/ Arrange / Repelling & Anchoring. Repel text around graphic. Click on the Anchoring and select required settings.

Great tips, Allison. Thanks very much.
Thanks, Egg. I did try that, but I will go back and try again.

    Thanks to both!

Eggs method does work. When you click on the object you can reposition it and repel the text under. Clicking on the text allows you to move both with the graphic anchored in place in relation to the text.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
