Default Photo Editing Tip - Stained Glass Transparency

Thanks Jon for your starfield tip and thanks Barbara B for suggesting a tips theme.

Digital cameras are great, but unless you are a very savvy user (I am not) and know how to adjust the light meter, you frequently get a photo that has been averaged so that all areas are well exposed.

When I get this kind of photo, I like to experiment with Stained Glass transparencies to add more drama to the photo and to attempt to get the photo back to what I thought I photographed.

If you apply a Circular or Elliptical Stained Glass transparency, reverse the inside and outside Transparency settings.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
