    Default Question about sending files to print

    Hi,
    I need to send some pdf files to print. There are about 15 images in my work. Do i have to embed all images for sending to print? They want it as pdf files

    Welcome to TalkGraphics

    I am not an Illustrator expert but I believe that if the images are the correct resolution in your Illustrator document, when you create the PDF file (PDF/X is best), then the images will be at the correct resolution.

    Yes, to your question. When saving look at the dialogue in PDF "Compression", do not compress or ZIP, make sure if possible that images are placed at 300 DPI and above. It is always better to Link bitmaps to the directory that you are sending to the Print Shop through the Windows menu and you will be able to do this through the Links menu for both for AI and PDF. It's a good habit!
