Cool How to Corel Photo Impact...

    Hello everyone,
How is everyone? I am sorry it has been so very long since my last post but I have been very busy. Anyhoo, I was going to post this in the Corel Forum but I couldn't find one for Photo Impact. I hope someone creates one because that is one of my favorite software titles that they make, and I am sure that a lot of people still use it. Anyways, I was wondering: Does anyone know how to resize the mask in Photo Impact X3? I used to know how in version 8 of that program, but I have since forgotten how. I want to be able to make the mask larger or smaller,. Thanks!

meanwhile someone else here may know the answer...

    Yes,
Use any one of the various selection tools to select the area you want to edit.
    Then apply the Mask.
The mask will be applied only to the area outside of your selected area allowing you to safely edit only the area within your selection.

Well, that didn't work. I'm talking about the mask shapes on the right pannel in the mask menu.

When you add the mask, it appears in a light blue/green dotted line.
Are you asking how to adjust the size of the mask at this stage?

    Hi Rik,
Yes I am looking to change the size of the mask at that point, and also to choose the size I want prior to placing it. In Photo Impact 8 there is a way to do both, but I have forgotten how.
    Thanks.

Wow Rik, that works great, thanks! Now my photos and artwork is going to be awesome, and I'm going to create my own mask to work with too! Thanks again.
