Default Issues importing CMYK images into Xtreme 5

    Hi,

Can anyone advise why I am all of a sudden getting issues with importing CMYK images as per the enclosed, and how can I get around this?

    Thanks,

Xara does not support CMYK work space. So this is the problem you are having.

If you can convert the images to RGB then they should import fine.

@Gary: I import CMYK images all the time.

    Ade,

I don't have Xtreme 5, oldest I have is XDP6. So I don't know what would have changed if you have been importing them and it stopped. I know with XDP6 upwards to the newest version, I haven't had this issue.

    Take care, Mike

    Thanks guys!

I have been able to get around this issue by selcting 'merge' as opposed to 'insert' - Well it works!

Hi Ade--insert works on XDP6, though I have to confess I never use it importing images as I usually want them on the page I am working on.

    Glad it is working!

Mike - Yeah, I was wrong. I know that Xara's color space is RGB and I seemed to remember not being able to import CMYK images. But who knows.

    Gary,

As as a quickie test, no version supports 32-bit CMYK TIFF images (maybe not 32-bit any color space). Well, they do import but there isn't anything there that is usable.

    Take care, Mike
