I've been asked to take some Freehand pics and work with them, build a web site around them.

Can Xara import them - are there any limitations - problems?

Xara would have to read a FreeHand EPS file, which I don't have a lot of confidence it can do. It is worth a try.

CorelDRAW can probably import the images as Interpreted EPS and then once in DRAW the image could be exported as 32-bit CMX which Xara can import.

    Just my guess.

    Thanks Gary for the response.

Do you - anyone reading - have Freehand and can try this out for me?

I don't want to look to 'un-cool' to the customer by have to have a 5 hour discussion with the other designer (who I have not met) on how to get their stuff (on a MAC) into my PC!.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have no problems with Cutting and Pasting between Xara and Freehand other than the fact that it pastes at a large size.

I rarely use Freehand, but when I've had to, I've gotten Xara and Freehand to play with each other better than Xara and Illustrator.

    Good Luck

    Thanks Sheffield for the info.

There maybe a slight problem for me in that the FreeHand designer is on the MAC and I'm on a PC.

But if I get the freehand file and hopefully get a 30day download of freehand (we check in two mins) then I'll hopefully be able to cut and paste.
