    Hi Stu,

    Great image! I really like the contrast between the ancient buried city and the mordern large polished letters and logo. Your underwater scene is also excellent!

    Thanks Soquili

    The hardest thing I find with CG is balancing the contrast.To me it seems to be the area where an image looks CG or semi CG

    Its C4D and lots of Photoshop I should add.

    Stu,

    this is just fantastic! I really hope that your local dealer values your work with a free upgrade from C4D 7 to C4D 8. Does he really know how much work goes into such a scene?

    The idea is excellent. Execution as well. Just perfect. At the first look I thought: hm, the river should be blue, reflecting the blue sky. But stop, a river in the desert is never blue in this angle of view - always brown or off white like in Egypt ;-}

    IMHO your dealer should add a new Mac for you for this work ;-}

    Thanks jens I really appreciate that

    It took me off and on about 2 and half days.

    I already have 8 bud but my graphics card is not up to the task so I have to wait for a new machine ......its kind of like having a nice car sitting in the garage but it has no wheels and you cant afford them straight off so you have to wait to drive it

    Ya fingers crossed I will get a reasonable discount on the LCD I want 23 inches of bliss,as opposed to a 15 inch monitor at 800 x 600.....

    Excellent image Stu i like the ombience. Nice 'contrast' as you mentioned.
    Great job on the lighting too. That's always tough to get right.

    Good concept too and work on the mini Egypt.

    Stu can't you just get a new vCard instead of upgrading your whole machine? Unless you actually want upgrade the machine, i'm pretty sure you can just replace the vCard.

    And i'm also pretty sure you already know all this sh*t and i'm just wasting spce with this dribble...

    <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>It took me off and on about 2 and half days.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

    2.5 x 8 hours = 20 hours
    20 hours x US$ 80 = US$ 1.600
    plus tax of course...

    This amount should get you a large chunk of a new machine ;-}
