    Default Xara Cool Steel Blade

Here's my rendering of a spyderco knife. I don't know why, but I have been getting into steel lately. I think this was a cool subject and I enjoy drawing it. Let me know what you think.

Paul - The reflection in the burnished metal surface should be softer. Wicket looking knife.

Have a look at the area inside the gray outline.

Very Sharp Paul! Both the drawing and the knife. Brill

Thanks Garry. I had to create a bitmap copy of knife in order to blur the reflection. Is there a way to do this without using a bitmap copy?

Thank you everyone for the encouraging words. This was a small project but has a lot of detail work. this was a fun project that i really enjoyed doing. i took a night to do. i prefer to do the smaller products that I can do in an evening. its good therapy for me. Last night i did the knife, marble and a cupel others that i did not post. thank you everyone for your support.

There is a way to blur a vector group with out making a bitmap copy. Select the group, and go to live effects and at the very top of the list select enhance. The control box that pops up will let you apply blur/ sharpen, contrast, brightness and saturation adjustments to your selection.

Basically what Frances is suggesting creates a bitmap and unless you intend to edit the reflection, there is no reason not to create a bitmap.
