    Default Hey! Nature Lovers...

We were out walking, and saw these things flying around.
Managed to zoom in using my mobile phone and took a picture.
It's not of good quality, but then my phone does not have any optical zoom.

...any idea what this little creature is, right in the middle of the photo?

    Know what, Steve?

Earlier on, during our walk, we did see (what you might call the normal) dragonflies.
Saw them flying around for ages.

    Then we came across these.
When these were flying around, they really didn't look like dragonflies.
But, having thought about it, I think it might have been because of the dark splodges at the end of the wings.
So that during flying, they didn't look like dragonflies at all.

Having done a bit of a search on the internet, it indeed looks like that you are correct.

    Hi James.
You could be right, though from what I can find on the internet, I did find an image of a Blue Dragonfly which seems to have the same type of blotches on the wings.
Though, I'm not an expert on these things and you may be right.

Larry: Where has your humour been recently?!
Though I'm pleased you've found it again!
I honestly did find it funny. That's my kind of humour!
    Or is it services humour?
In any case, you made me laugh.

    damselfly : link
Your website is a little stinky poo? That's the bad news. The good news is that the other guy's site probably is too.
Maybe it's time you gave your web presence some "ka-ching"!

    Well, Beret.
Your link seems to show that it's more likely to be a Damselfly rather than a Blue Dragonfly (as we thought).

We managed to take a closer picture.
