    The reason this is not a solution is two-fold.

    One, the colors will be converted back to similar values at press-time.

    Two, the outlines are a strange rich black value while the black fills are 100% K. This will always cause the blacks to be vastly different in print, precisely like you see in the original PDF.

    Yes, I lost sight of the fact that the ultimate destination is print.

    Hi Mike and Pauland,
    thanx very much for your help. The logo was indeed original an AI file exported to PDF.

    frits, if you obtained the logo from the original person who did it in AI, next time have them do a save as and save it as an AI 8 file. Usually there is less fiddling around after importation to Xara.
