Can I add titles or alt text to the gallery slideshow widget?

Just wondering if I can add some photo titles to the gallery slideshow widget - or if not, some alt text? It works really well and is really easy to use but I'd like to have something to describe the pictures.
I've tried alt text as you normally would, and adding text to the pics doesn't work.

Any help gratefully received.

I don't think you can have captions with that widget. Later versions of WD & DP have more versatile slideshows.

Thanks for this - a pity to be honest. Ah well.
Just a point though, I am using the latest Designer Pro X, and this widget is a new one, I believe, with this version?

You can turn an ordinary gallery into a slide show

With the example attached I have un-softgrouped the gallery objects and selected each individual image using shift+click. When all selected I adjusted the options in Web Properties >> Image

Thank you Drwyd - just tried this and it does work fine.
Pity I'd have to lose the scroll bars or have a longer page, but hey ho, one can't have everything
