Do not have permission to perform this action

On trying to reply to a post I created earlier I keep getting the above message which also asks me to refresh the page and log in (even though I am already logged in). If this message appears then the problem seems isolated to replying to that particular post/thread, and if so why?

Same thing happened when I tried to post the above reply using Internet Explorer. It posted when I logged on using Google Chrome, so will try to post follow up to earlier post using Chrome as well. Has anyone else had similar issues when using IE?

Phill when you get that message check to ensure you are logged in. If the cookie for IE has been lost you were not logged in using that browser but the Chrome cookie logged you in.

Each Browser has it's own location for storing cookies.

Bill - I think you will also need to tick the 'remember me' box for each browser too... ?

Yes Steve that will place the cookie so log in is automatic with each visit to the forums.

Just reverted to IE8 from 9 and seeing if this posts.

As suspected IE9 was the problem. When I posted from IE8 my log in screen at the top showed the same as it was in IE9, i.e, with the welcome message and a sign out button. Before I downgraded to IE8 I had reset everytghing in 9 and tried posting, but that did not work. Also cookies were enabled in all attempts.
