Gary you are a true master and light years ahead of me.
I've downloaded all of your files and looked at them - now I need to try and figure out what you did. For me I need the baby steps (sorry old age thing). I'll try and read more (sometimes the reading is like pouring water on a duck's back) and hopefully start to understand. I'm open for suggestions. My work load is rather heavy and it may take a few days. Next week I'm teaching all week and most likely this will wipe me out. I have to get up at 0400 hours to teach this class and normally that is the time I'm going to bed. As I get older I need my 8+ hours of sleep.

I can see where this would be handy and it is something I should do.
ThanksIf your buttons look right and are working OK then you did the correct action.
The original menu did have the problem in Chrome and was due to the application I was using (DHTMLMenu). Now that I've made the jump in to XWD8 for the menu I'll most likely stick with it. I know that when I looked at the menu in v7 I did not like it, this may have been lack of knowledge on my part. With v8 we seem to have much more control I just need to learn more about how to do it. I've read through most of the help file regarding the navbars but for the most part I did not understand a lot of what I read. I'll have to study more and read it again.I had a problem with Chrome with the menu as I mentioned, the drop down menu dropped down in the wrong place. So the problem might have to do with an incompatibility between your original navigation bar and Chrome.
I seem to have a posting problem. Several of my post have disappeared after I made them. After I click on the "Submit Reply" button I always see the post but when I return to the forum the next day sometimes the post is missing. I have no idea what is going on here and I'm confused.

Darn!!!! With the new XWD8 I still have the link issue in Chrome. I unistalled Chrome and reinstalled but this did not resolve my issue. I know it is something on my PC but I've not had success in finding the issue.

Just so you know... you are not alone. Your links do not work for me either when using Chrome. I too have the latest version.
Still working for me.

I did come across this:
needs a href value
<a href="#" onclick="download('vedio1');" style="cursorer;" ><img src="image.png" title="Click to view the video" /></a>
or
<a href="javascript:" onclick="download('vedio1');" style="cursorer;" ><img src="image.png" title="Click to view the video" /></a>
