Hi there,
I am using Xara Designer Pro X.
Is there some reason why would be missing the filter importing a EMF/WMF graphic into my file? It's not even in the list of supported formats.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Nothing lasts forever...
Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your input but the problem still exists. I looked at the FileFormats.xml file and the import filters for WMF/EMF appear there but the two attached graphics show a different list. The file list that comes up in the dialogue box is not the FileFormats.xml list. Also, the error message Xara gives me if I try to drag the WMF file into the Xara file is also attached.
Very strange. I wonder if there are conflicts with having previous versions on my system at the same time. Perhaps I should simply uninstall and reinstall.

If I was in your shoes I would un-install and then re-install using admin rights as, I have counted ten missing filters. from your list.
Design is thinking made visual.
Follow Albacore's advice and after the reinstall using Administrator rights if the program starts up automatically select to close rather than proceed. Right click the destop icon and select Run as administrator. This will allow all the filters to correctly register themselves within the Registry.
Anytimes your import or export list does not show all the filetypes it is due to a .dll file not being registered correctly which can be cause by your account not having the permissions to update the registry or some bit of software like your antivirus or other software designed to protect the registry from updates has interferred with the installation.
I moved the posts about FileFormats.xml to a separate thread as they only served to confuse the OP.
