Exporting pdf

Hello,
I'm creating a billboard with 260cm x 160cm in size, when I try to export it as pdf comercial printing Xara7 gives an error and I can't finish.
I really appreciate your help.

Do you have many live effects applied? If so, create a bitmap copy and move the originals off onto the pasteboard area in case you need to manipulate them.

To follow on...

The screen shot is of a very complicated drawing with several types of transparency that I resized to about your requirements. Xara does not like outputting this either.

So instead of selectively changing some elements to PNG images, I grouped the whole thing, created a PNG image of the entire page. Then deleted the vector group. Saved as a new name (in case I needed to alter it in the future) and created a PDF.

I really love xara but many times it is a pain in the neck, too many errors, several drawing lost in the process, and everytime I want to use pdf format BOOM xara blows up.
I'm really sad, cause I spent a lot of time learning how to use it but I often feel I should have taken another tool, I think xara needs a lot of testing. I upgraded from every version released and always the same type of errors, I think it would be a good Dear xara, "please not more errors" anyway, today is not a good day that's the reason I mention this.
According to your kind comments, I have not used live effects or I think I didn't, anything that could be complicated I converted it to bitmaps but..... pdf conversion fails.
I'm uploading a scaled design to be able to show you what I'm working on.

The error is in the PDF routine they use. The company they licensed it from has changed since the original licensing. The current development version is 5.8.0, last updated February of this year. The version used in XDP7 is 5.0.1.6. The version in Xara 8 is 5.0.2.1

If you can upload your file to dropbox or similar, and PM me the download link, I would be glad to see if either I can export it, report to you how I succeeded, and or try it in the latest version to see if it can do so.

Really, there is a size limitation in most add-in routines as to size/complexity. I usually do large format to a scale. Then instruct the printer to scale up the PDF by X amount. If using bitmaps, there is a little prep (a PDF at 50% size should have a bitmap using a higher resolution, etc.).

I can also try it in AI. But there are also issues with it when doing large format work, too. And it uses the native PDF code from Acrobat.

Thank you very much for your help, as far as you mention Xara is really behind the last pdf routine!!!, I'll finish the drawing and send it to you, It can take me some time to achieve it.
I was looking at your profile, you're from Oregon, I had the opportunity to be in Eugene in february 2000, very nice place, the another detail I could see you like wood working, me too, if you can, look for Matthias Wandel at youtube, that man is incredible.
