Inserting movie clips

I am not having any luck inserting video into my web pages. I drag and drop the video onto the page, the video box with controls appears, I resize it to fit.....but when I preview or publish the page, there is just a blank space where the video should be! Does anyone know how to make this work?

What kind of video file are you trying to insert?

It might be useful to read Help > Index > Adding movie, audio & animation files

Certain file formats can be embedded others cannot.

Hi, I usually convert my videos to .FLV and then drop them into a web page. They seem to play with no problems.

Just keep in mind that FLV does not play on iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch devices.

I've tried wmv, mp4, and Flash.....same with all of them, nothing! Very frustrating.....

Check which layer you have inserted them on.

Click on the placeholder and look on the Status Line at the bottom of the program window.

If it's not on the MouseOff layer then it needs to be moved to that layer. This Xara KB should help with that http://support.xara.com/index.php?_m...articleid=2891
