Thread: Old MP4 Files

    Default Old MP4 Files

I am using Designer Pro X.

When I place a video on a page and export the web site everything is fine. If I decide to replace that video with another one the old video stays in the index_html_files even though it is no longer needed. How can I remove the old mp4 files so that they are not there the next time I export my web site. This really increases the number of files to upload if I make a lot of video changes.

Also how do I import a mp4 file without a player? I want to use the video as an intro to a menu.

Is there a way to direct a video to go to another page upon completion?

    Thanx for your time.

After you have removed a placeholder to an MP4 file it does not remove the file from being exported with the website automatically.

In order to do this you have to do it manually.

Open the xar file's support folder which is stored in the same folder as your xar file and is called filename_web_files (where filename is replaced with the name of your xar file) and delete the files from this folder.

Now when you export your site it will export without the old file.
