Default Help with Repeating Objects and Push objects combined

Hi. When I have two objects set as fixed. Then I position them where I want them, add a shadow, and set the proper push amount so that they won't go any farther towards each other. At this point they are good. But as soon as I make them repeating objects, they push each other farther apart. It's like they get a larger boundary when they are set as a repeating object.

Does anyone know how to avoid this problem?

Here is a better explanation of the problem:

I am having a problem with combining push objects with repeating objects that have shadows. I have included the following website file to show the problem. Look at the two small white shadowed rectangles just above the blue header at the bottom of the page (the two on the left that have shadows). They are set with a 5pix push, which is good -- this works good. But when I set them both to be repeating objects the bottom one all of a sudden moves down, as if it became bigger. Why is this? and how can I stop it?

Try it out: they are currently set to be push objects but not repeating. Select the two shapes and make them repeating and see for yourself. If the bottom one did not move, which sometimes happens, then after making them repeating, select the bottom one, and try to move it up by using the up arrow on the key board--it will bounce down.

Now look at the two white objects on the right that do not have shadows. They are also set with a 5 pix push but not repeating. When you make them repeating objects, they do not move, as the shadowed ones do.

How can I fix this, or is it a problem with the software that I have to work around. If so, what do I need to do to have a consistent work around.

    Thanks,
    Keith

I think you have found a bug

Best report it in the Dear Xara.. forum perhaps?

    Hi Sledger,

I'm glad that you think it is that. I was driving myself crazy trying to align my objects, only to have them move when I made them repeating. I thought I was was doing something wrong and became frustrated at myself that I couldn't figure it out.

I understand that programs have bugs, so I am not mad at the program if that is it, because bugs can be fixed; and now I know about it. I have sent the same file to Xara in a support ticket. Should I still put the thread in Dear Xara?

    Thanks for the help,
    Keith

    P.S.
I added it to Dear Xara
