not sure what to suggest Larry - I have a feeling its a 64bit thing - I'm still on 32bit [modest are my needs - or more accurately my funds ]

    might be a registry snafu

maybe someone else will have an idea.. sorry

No problems with brushes as mentioned by Larry here on Windows 7 64bit.
Can only think of one thing to try

PS: Windows Vista/7 64bit is the same price as 32bit, Steve.
If anyone is charging more for Windows 64bit then you are being royally ripped off.
And all hardware is 64bit compatible (has been for yonks)
*Unless you have an olde peripheral and the manufacturer doesn't want to write 64bit drivers

Steve I downloaded that but haven't had time to figure it out yet. Thanks for the link.
I'll keep working with brushes and see if I can come to terms with it.
You said you Can only think of one thing to try, Aside from getting a new brain, what might that be?

Getting a new brain would really mean the other brain is getting a new body?

Well Larry, the thing to try would be a full un install and then re install. To be sure all reg entries etc are removed, I'd use Revo Uninstaller.
This should then be like installing DPX for the first time on a new PC.

If you are the only user of the PC there should be no need to 'Run as Administrator'.

    [apologies Larry for quick OT]

yes Steve - thanks - I do run old hardware, and more problematical old software - plus I'd have to flash bios to run 64bit windows, a copy of which I received along with the 32bit version [of course ] - I'm inclined to wait for a pencilled in M/B processor upgrade, reliability is more important to me than pushing the boundaries of power when I don't need to, and if there is one thing my current win7 setup is, it's reliable, far more than any previous windows setup I've had..
