    Ampa,
I downloaded your Bird Puppet.xar and that is exactly what I was trying to accomplish. However, I don't understand how or why your center of rotation remains at the proper 'joints' of the bird. My center of rotation keeps returning to the center of the the item I am drawing...whether it is the leg or the circle as you suggested. Thanks.

    The technique works because...

A group will (by default) rotate about its centre point.
The size / shape of a group is defined by the size and shape of everything it contains.

The circles that I drew entirely enclose the Birdman's limbs, so the group will move and rotate as if it were the circle.

Hmmm... Not sure if that is any clearer!?!?! I hope it makes some kind of sense!

My suggestion is to try it out and learn by doing.

    Ampa,
    "The technique works because..."

You are Correct! It works great now that I got the hang of it. I misread your instructions the first time I tried it. That really is a time saver for what I am doing. Thanks again.

Yay! Glad you got it working

Thanks for the original question - I feel I learnt something in the process too.
