Yes I tend to because some parts I need infront and some behind and It's easier to edit if need be.
I keep building all the parts on different layers till I finished and then I group then all so as to place them on one layer.
You can take a horse to water, but a pencil must be lead!

I've been looking at your work, and trying to come up with an adjective to use in describing the quality of what I'm seeing, but am unable to do so. Totally amazing is about the best I got. I can't even begin to think that I could ever produce something that good. Nice work!

I dont use layers that much but with work like this you almost have too, as before mentioned.
