Default Just a big THANK YOU for all Xara developers

As always, the new version is amazing! Especially text styles (making Illustrator / Indesign finally completely superfluous) and the select-by-color photo tool (making the crappy Mehdi plugin superfluous).

I've switched from an IN HOUSE developed graphics application (!) to Xara a few years ago, and I haven't looked back once.

When I work for other agencies at their offices where everyone uses Photoshop, I frequently get requests like "Hey Alex, could you just do me a favor in Xara, this takes too long in Photoshop...", and people then sit behind me and watch in awe how I do ridiculously complex tasks (for Photoshop) in a matter of seconds in Xara.

    Thank you, Xara.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

So the new version finally handles all the extras OpenType fonts are capable of? And it can tell you when a color is out of gamut?

I'm not "professional enough" to need those extras... and all that out-of-gamut and "Preview printer colors" stuff I handle by simply doing a test print before sending it to the shop

Yes, I know, I'm REALLY unprofessional... but I still somehow manage to make my stuff look at least half professional

New type styles are a great addition and will really help with any design job involving type. Thank you devs.

But there are still some basic text functions missing that stop Xara from being a true DTP package... I'd really like to have a table tool since data layout is currently so cumbersome.

For Unprofessionals like me, the pragmatic solution is to just create the table in a different program, and then import it as a graphic into Xara. Yes yes, I know, that looks bad in print because it's not vectors, but who takes 3 magnifying glasses and looks at the dots that compose the lines in my table?
